Shoe Drive for Africa!

Our youth had the coolest opportunity this past month to collect shoes for Burkina Faso Africa.  The shoes will be sold in Africa and the funds will be used to build a water well and 3 month supply food for a village in Africa. The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not yet in this area, the group heading this project is taking Missionaries there with them over Christmas!  We had the chance to write our testimonies and serve these wonderful people from a distance.  Excited to hear updates from when the organizers return.  We collected an incredible amount: 34 bags of shoes --- 858 Pairs of Shoes!!!

Lucky Strikes, Bowling!

Shondalee invited us to go bowling for her birthday!  Camry had so much fun!!! She cried when she had to return these cool shoes!

I even won!!!

Camry cheered and danced to the music, she loved when she got a turn to roll the ball!

I love this sweet little family of mine!

Daniel insisted we put a family picture on our Christmas Cards, so we took these November 28th, 2014 in the Jordan Willows Neighborhood down the street from our house.

"Poppin' Party!"

These sweet young women and leaders helped throw a Poppin' Baby Shower for their leader, Nicole!

 The Mia Maids were incharge of games and asked friends to help them:

 Looked in Chocolate filled diapers and had to guess what kind of chocolate...

And they guessed the size of Nicole's baby bump!

It was a great night of contagious laughter! These girls are so fun!

Smith Cookie Swap!

I am far from a baker but I love any excuse to get together with friends!  I love when hosting Cookie Swaps, everyone that comes to the door has a "disclaimer".  Chocolate didn't set, tried a new recipe, ran out of this, high altitude, etc. Makes me laugh because we all stress about our treat when really its just a fun reason to gather!

 Everything was delicious!  These mugs were so creative!

 There were prizes for "Highly Seasonal", "Best Looking", "Most Creative", and "Tastiest"!

So blessed to call these neighbors friends!

Heavenly Messes!

Today my helper was a sweet treat sent from Heaven!  Camry helped me frost our "Swig" cookies!  The best part was her hysterical laughter and contagious smile!

 

I absolutely love being this girls Mom!! 

"Scar-ry" Santa!

Camry is so excited for Christmas as long as Santa Claus isn't involved!  We took her to get these pictures done in November.  The goal was Christmas card photos but they turned out traumatizing! 

 

I was worried about Camry being scared, so the night before I explained to her what they were and that her dad was going to dress up! She was happy and kept talking about it. Well, when we arrived at the studio she spotted the hired Santa... it was all frightful screams from then on.  Daniel dressed up and she was still so nervous!  I held her and kept giving her back to Daniel hoping to get one happy picture... Better luck next year!!!
